From worse to better: July 11

Give me the original, the business kill; take me to the land-filled... horizon, where it all stands still. I rap this and more as jazz instrumentals stream from my ipod to the car radio. It's the wordsmith, chiseling words into rhymes that hit so hard they break spines. No ears now? Wow! Wait 'til the money's thin, then th-then you'll be listenin' in!Alisa giggles and raps on! About how she lost her wallet and she's dissed, re: the wallet that is missed. Clouds are above us and on our drive back from Jack's Canyon (1.5-hour from Flagstaff), rain and lightning is everywhere but in front of us. Rapping brought us back into smiles. We were down, down down. Down south. Our hearts, too. Alisa lost her wallet. Yes. But she found it now. And it was too hot in Jack's Canyon. There were a few shady routes. Below is a picture of me at the Main Wall. I did a fun, short, two-finger-pocket-riddled problem around the corner.

Before that, we tromped around, found our first rattlesnake, tromped around, found the area where Crosstown Traffic, 5.11a, a route recommended by Gabe Strongman Cisneros for Alisa to do, but could not locate the route. It was also shadeless and we were tired, so we returned to the Main Wall via the same paths, and that is when we started our car, realized Alisa's missing wallet and drove back to Flagstaff, going West. But we want to go East. Oh well. Someone facebooked Alisa and told her they had found her wallet and it was waiting at a SuperCuts store next to our famed Campus Coffee Bean shop. YAY!
Right now we're happy again. We're eating a cream cheese muffin. I love it. My plan as of right now is to camp near the Bat roof. Wake up. Climb a 40-foot roof traverse. Try Carnivore Direct once more, quickly. Then drive to Amarillo, TX. I hope to find a shower there. Especially nice would be water of warm temperature running against my half-tan, half-sunburned, half-dirty body. For half-an-hour!

Well, I suppose we asked for an adventure! We got it! Some "bad", some "good", but all adventure. It's all good! If you haven't adventured recently, I highly recommend it!
