To my m8 N8,

I r8 your blog as gr8!

Where did the background picture go? I liked the layout and design before everything went white.

As for the topics you write about? Most are fine, but there's one crucial bit of information missing from every post: a detailed analysis of your daily flatulence. We the readers want to know about each and every anal retort; the exact time of each incident, how long the blast remained audible, the decibel level, and the number of people who held their nose and/or passed out. Then, and only then, this blog will be perfect.

P.S.
I met a gal yesterday who just moved here from Maine! Not only that, but she's from Brunswick and she's 23, her best friend from back home is the girl I had a crush on in my 4th grade class. It's a small world N8, and your blog helps bring that feeling to us non-traveling, rat-race running blog readers holding down home front.

Hey Kevvie! Did you see the Rumney picture that I took of Sean with your water-jugs!? I purposely put that one up for you!

Thanks for your comment! It is indeed a much smaller world than I thought growing up! That's pretty wild!

The background picture didn't work quite as well as the current one, at least in how it interacted with the semi-transparency and vice versa. Although I'd love that climbing picture or a climbing picture in the background, this picture gives some hint of me looking at the posts. Maybe I'll work on getting that other pic back if it really is better!

What are you doing these days, Kevvie?

I sure did notice that Rumney water jug picture and actually wondered to myself "this is a pretty uneventful picture, I wonder if N8 posted this pic because it had my water jug in it??".

As to what I've been doing? Right this moment I'm pretty tired at work after last night's Radiohead concert! After the show ended in awesome fashion I went to a little dive bar with a date and her friends, that's where I met the girl from Maine! She was sitting at the table next to me with a guy, and overheard me answer the question "Where are you from??". We hit it off in spectacular fashion and had an awesome talk about mutual Maine acquaintances and whatnot, then we exchanged numbers as our dates sat awkwardly and twiddled their thumbs. Strange, huh? Yep, and it was a great connection; I'm looking forward to getting to know her better.

And here's a more N8 type of activity: I'm making a trip up to Mt. Whitney (tallest mountain in the contiguous 48 states) towards the end of September! A buddy and I are going to camp and hike that beast, the trail we're going to take ends with a 500 foot near vertical class III scramble. It's going to be mindblowing.

Anyway, I'm getting carried away, which happens a lot. I check yours and Alisa's blogs pretty frequently, so keep em full of the latest and greatest N8 information!

Yo Kevin, you should definitely keep me up-to-date and let me know how things go with your acquaintance and your Mt. Whitney Expedicion! That sounds incredible -- wish I could be there! So yellous! J=Y.

I'll definitely keep trying to lead an entertaining life - for myself and readers! It sounds like you'll be doing the same, just without a blog right now! Why no blog?

I love concerts and miss going to them. I think last concert I went to was a friend's in Seattle. Their band is Capillary Action (http://landescapers.blogspot.com/2008/06/alien-landing.html) That was a while ago! Radiohead and bar hopping sounds fun. Let me know if you find any good new bands! I've recently fallen in love with Mason Jennings' music! You should look him up if you're into nice lyrics and folk-y campfire-esque tunes once in a while!

Much love from your co-runner!

i am most partial to the original format with the text starting below 'the big trip' title and picture. and as the bossy overbearing older sister i really have to assert my opinion.

p.s. when has someone officially crossed the line over into stalker-dom? is it when they check their brother's blog 17 times an hour? just curious.

I always wanted the picture behind the text -- even if this isn't the best picture--- so I'm gonna stick with that format! Let me know if you have other preferences!

Also---let me know if you want to be a Guest Writer on The Big Trip!
